Looking for investment funds to invest in.
What: hedge funds or similar structures, offering security- or contract-style investing, with a transparent and authentic track record and independent valuation and strategy implementation controls.
History: no less than a 3-year continuous track record verified by an independent party and audited by an established and recognised auditing company, and transparent monthly or more frequent returns.
Strategy: “alpha-oriented” market neutral and/or arbitrage-based strategy (correlation with primary market indices of less than 0.25); sustainable/robust, independently of the macro situation; suitable for (benefiting from) the expected market and macroeconomic conditions such as rising rates, shrinking monetary balances, rising volatility, spiking inflation growth, etc.
Historical results: over 6% net returns with return/volatility ratio above 1; significantly lower maximum drawdown than that of a relevant benchmark index during the crisis periods (2008, 2014, 2018, March 2020, etc.).
Liquidity: at least quarterly (initial lock-up is a minus but acceptable); products with monthly or better liquidity are preferred.
AUM: no less than USD60M; products with over USD100M AUM are preferred. Slow AUM acquisition is a negative factor.
Team: a sound team of managers, with proper credentials, including experience in the field and proven ability to maintain the product in the long term.
